Lead Water Mitigation Technician

ServiceMaster by Neverman is the leading restoration company in central Ohio. We offer 24HR water mitigation, fire damage restoration, sewage cleanup, mold remediation, biohazard and hoarding services. As our company continues to grow we look for talented individuals to join us. We are seeking an individual for the position of Lead Water Mitigation Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a service minded individual. You will work alongside other team members and, in a short period of time, will be expected to work independently and manage other technicians.

The position is responsible for cleaning water and fire damaged commercial and residential properties. This position handles demolition work, structure cleaning, contents cleaning, move ins/move outs.

Functions of the position:

  • Extracts water from flooded structures using commercial extraction equipment
  • Assists in determining the most effective way to dry the affected materials
  • Performs demolition after fire, water/flood, mold or storm damage
  • Removes carpet, carpet pads, drywall and insulation as necessary
  • Haul debris from job site
  • Move customer contents from work area as needed
  • Assists in content cleaning and storage
  • Conducts an assessment of damage at the client property and attends to the damaged areas
  • Set up and monitor drying equipment
  • Photograph and document progress of loss in PSA
  • Ensures that all assigned personnel are thoroughly trained, including safety precautions
  • Other duties as assigned

 Required Qualifications: 

  • Experience in water mitigation, mold remediation or fire restoration
  • Must participate in mandatory 24HR on call rotation
  • Must be able to work some nights and weekends
  • Must be capable of moving furniture and carrying heavy loads
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces (attics and crawlspaces)
  • Remain highly detail oriented when working at or on customer properties
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations
  • Good driving record and current license
  • Drug Free
  • Background screening performed on all applicants
  • IICRC certified preferred

 Special Requirements:

  • WRT and ASD certifications
  • IICRC certified
